I don't recall why they began singing in the movie but it looks to me like Sister Mary Clarence keeps encouraging Wesley to keep trying because she knew that he could have given more into the song. She wanted the kids to dig deeper into their soul and get the audience to join in. My reaction in the beginning of the clip was that it was kind of boring but after they started to get hyped up into their big crescendo, I started to get chills.

Write a 4-8 poem about friends
HELP ME PLEASE
No other friend is quite like you.
No other friend could do exactly what you do.
No other friend could listen to my dreams,
No matter how weird it all seems.
You're the one who's there for me when I need a friend.
We're gonna be tight till the end.
We always have fun when we are together.
We always find something to do no matter what the weather.
No other friend could understand me like you do.
I don't know what I would do without a friend like you.
