A land developer, Sandy Burns, is planning to build a very large housing development near a lake that is used for fishing and swimming. Write a letter to the land developer describing what problems could occur in the lake. In your letter, describe how this human interaction has altered habitats negatively. Make a suggestion for how this problem could be alleviated or fixed. Your letter should include 3 paragraphs (an introduction, body, and a conclusion).
Answer:
Dear, Sandy Burns
I feel strongly about your decision to build your housing development near this lake. doing this could effect the wildlife and even the people and children who come to swim here. We have already shown as humans that we don't have enough respect for wild life on its own.
Building these houses could not only endanger the wildlife with the fact that there will be more pollution in the area due to construction and people moving in, but also the population your bringing to the area. The lake is a controlled environment and people already Fish in it as is. Building this complex will bring in more people who may want to fish, causing many fish in that lake not be able to reproduce quickly enough. The construction on its own will scare away other animals that use this lake for hydration or meals.
In conclusion you shouldn't build this complex near the lake. I think your idea is wonderful just not for near the lake.It would be too harmful to the animals and environment around it.
Sincerely,
*your name*

Inside atoms , in the nucleus , are protons and neutrons.
Inside protons and neutrons are quarks , which are "glued" together by gluons.

THE PARAGRAGH!!!
Everyone has heard the adage "Laughter is the best medicine." Researchers are finding that writing about one’s feelings can be effective medicine, too. People have been recording their feelings in diaries for centuries. Recent studies, though, suggest that such writing not only improves a person’s mood; it can also have a significant influence on their physical condition. Therefore, physicians should incorporate patient journaling as part of their treatment for any complaint or disease.
It is true that not all people benefit from diary-writing. Studies are still exploring how individual differences influence the health-related effectiveness of writing. It is also true that not all writing benefits a person's health. For example, it's not enough to simply write, "I feel bad" or "I hurt." To gain any health benefit, the writing must be expressive. In other words, a person must explore their feelings instead of only stating them. They must write sentences that begin along the lines of "I feel sad because..." This is the type of writing, often called journaling, that can improve one's health.
One way journaling improves health is by reducing stress and anxiety. Brain science has determined that each side of the human brain has different strengths. The left brain is rational and analytical. The right brain functions as a creative and emotional center. Journaling about stressful or anxious situations accesses the right brain. Doing so enables a person to clarify feelings and solve problems. Consistent journaling also helps the writer discover patterns of thought and behavior. According to Richard Petty, a professor of psychology at Ohio State University, "However you tag your thoughts—as trash or as worthy of protection—seems to make a difference in how you use those thoughts." Expressive writing can help not only identify but also change the way a person tags their thoughts. A 2011 study conducted in Spain, for example, found that writing helped teens get rid of negative thoughts. In the study, teens wrote down their negative thoughts about their bodies. This cleared the thoughts from their minds. Then they threw away what they wrote. As a result, the teens felt less stress and anxiety about their appearances.
Research suggests that journaling can also improve a person's physical well-being. It has proven to be particularly beneficial to people who have chronic diseases, such as asthma and rheumatoid arthritis. Rheumatoid arthritis is a disease characterized by swelling in the joints. In one study, psychologists at the University of Texas at Austin asked patients to write expressively for twenty minutes a day for three consecutive days. In a medical check-up four months later, those patients had fewer and less severe symptoms. The control group, which had the same disease but did not write expressively, did not show such improvement.
In addition to reducing symptoms of existing diseases, expressive writing can also strengthen the body's ability to fight off disease. A person's immune system is responsible for fighting off viruses and other causes of illness. Doctors in New Zealand found that journaling strengthened immune function in patients with immune system disease. Another study linked journaling to a stronger response to a vaccine for a type of blood disease called Hepatitis B. The stronger response means the body will be more effective in fighting off the illness.
Journaling, therefore, can improve one's physical and emotional health. Further research is necessary to solidify how and why expressive writing has such an impact. Nevertheless, it is an option that all medical professionals should consider. Although journaling is not a replacement for traditional treatment methods such as therapy and medication, it is a supplemental tool to improve the effects of that treatment. It is not out of the question, then, to imagine a day when doctors might instruct a patient to "write two paragraphs and call me in the morning."
QUESTION!!!
Read the sentence below, which states the claim of the argument.
Therefore, physicians should incorporate patient journaling as part of their treatment for any complaint or disease.
Which of the following sentences is evidence that the author uses to support the claim?
A
“It is also true that not all writing benefits a person's health.”
B
“Journaling about stressful or anxious situations accesses the right brain.”
C
“In addition to reducing symptoms of existing diseases, expressive writing can also strengthen the body's ability to fight off disease.”
D
“Another study linked journaling to a stronger response to a vaccine for a type of blood disease called Hepatitis B.”
Answer:
answer: c
Explanation:
It's C since it helps reduce symtoms of anxiety or any other illness. Journoling helps one be able to express out of their comfort zone.

Write three paragraphs discussing how the universal idea of human kindness relates to the texts in the unit. In paragraph 1, discuss how this universal idea is demonstrated in the story "An Hour with Abeulo." Use evidence from the text to support your answer. In paragraph 2, discuss how this universal idea is demonstrated in "The Strangers That Came to Town." Use evidence from the text to support your answer. In paragraph 3, state a theme shared by both texts. Use evidence from the text to support the theme.
Answer:
The metaphor, "Milk of human kindness" mean to be caring and compassionate to other people. This could be a universal theme because anyone can be kind to a stranger in need. People in China can care for someone, people in England can care for someone else, even people in Alaska can be caring for a stranger.
In " The Convict and The Bishop," the bishop helped and defended Jean Valjean whom he didn't even know. While everybody else drove him out, the bishop tended to him. He gave Jean a bed to sleep in, a bed and he gave him comfort when nobody else would. This shows that people can be nice to others in need.
In " The Strangers That Came to Town," when Andy and Tom made mischief, they really hurt the Duviches. Thier father made them repay the family by catching 60 fish. When they gave the fish to the Duviches they were overjoyed and invited Andy and Tom's family to eat the fish. The Duviches were shown kindness by the father and returned the kindness by inviting Andy and Tom's family for a meal.
Explanation:
if it’s is correct can you please mark as brainliest
Answer:
In "An hour with Abuelo" it talks about being kind and helping. Because it also talks about being kind to other people.
In "The strangers that came to town" it talks about being kind to new people because all people should be treated equal. It also says that if you do something bad you have to make up for it.
A theme of both texts is that you have to kind to other people even if they are new or poor or anything like that.

How is this quote important:
“ The world where the result devours the cause, and the cause devours the result. The world where all possibilities exist, and the individual possibility supports and maintains each other. A perfect, immortal epic where a story manufactures a story all on its own.”
Answer:
it's not because existence is an ever-growing hole of death and despair.
Explanation:
The universe will consume all that it has created. Matter itself will stop moving, all energy will cease to exist. All that will ever exist and have ever existed will be destroyed. The infinite matter will recombine creating another big bang, and subsequently, a new universe. A universe without knowledge of us, likely there were infinitely many before us that we could never know. But don't feel bad, you won't do anything substantial anyways!
ALICE IN WONDERLAND/ALICE THROUGH THE LOOKING GLASS
Do you think the novels and the play have the same audience in mind? What ages do you think the playwright and the novelist had in mind when developing their works?
Answer:
In all honesty I think this is supposed to be an opinion problem, so what do you think the general audience would be for a book, compared to the movie. Are they the same, different? What is the age group- well what audience is it made to, a younger generation like 8-15 or an older one 16+ .
Explanation:
brailnies pls
Answer: The primary audience for the novels is young children. Carroll wrote the books to entertain his friend’s children. The stories are silly and have outrageous characters. However, even older kids and adults can enjoy the story because it is very entertaining.I think the playwright wrote the play for adults and children. Kids and adults would find the play fun to watch. This is true because of the absurdity of the way characters act in Wonderland and the playful way in which they make up words. Adults may also like the play because they read the books when they were children.

Using the excerpts from the Story of My Life by Helen Keller and Narrative of the Life of Frederick Douglass, compare and contrast the themes presented by the authors.
Answer: There are some similarities to the central idea in the passages. Both narrators want to learn. Both narrators faced hard times, but still managed to overcome their obstacles. Helen and Frederick learned even though it was a task that was very hard to accomplish. There are also some differences to the central idea in the passages. Helen Keller is blind and deaf and Frederick Douglass is a slave. Helen is being encouraged to learn while Frederick is being discouraged to learn to read. Frederick always wanted to learn to read and write while Helen had a brief time where she didn’t want to learn. Helen had one teacher who worked with her every day. Frederick had many teachers. He started learning from his mistress and when she stopped, Frederick went out and learned from anyone he could find who was willing to teach him. Helen learned by having the words traced in her hands. Frederick learned to read by starting with the sounds of the alphabet
