The Solids Are Similar. Find The Volume Of Solid B. Write Your Answer In Terms Of Pi.

Answers

Answer 1
Now, I’m not sure if I’m right because I’m not in college, but I’m pretty sure for solid A you divide the area which is 12 times the volume which is 4608. We do this because the volume of a cylinder is a•h but since we don’t know the height we divide. So after dividing I got 384. And since the solids are supposedly similar you will multiply the area of solid B which is 15 times 384 which equals 5,760. So the volume of solid B is 5,760 pi in.^3… (let’s hope this is correct)

What is the equation of the blue line?

Answers

Answer:

y =  4x - 3

Step-by-step explanation:

When writing an equation of a line, keep in mind that you always need the following information in order to determine the linear equation in slope-intercept form, y = mx + b:

1. 2 sets of ordered pairs (x, y)

2. Slope (m)

3. Y-intercept (b)

First, we need to choose 2 points from the graph to solve for the slope:

Let (x1, y1) = (0, -3)

(x2, y2) = (1, 1)

Use the following slope formula:

[tex]m = \frac{y2 - y1}{x2 - x1}[/tex]

Substitute the values of the coordinates into the formula:

[tex]m = \frac{y2 - y1}{x2 - x1} = \frac{1 - (-3)}{1 - 0} = \frac{1 + 3}{1} = \frac{4}{1} = 4[/tex]

Therefore, the slope (m) of the line = 4.

Next, we need the y-intercept, (b). The y-intercept is the y-coordinate of the point where the graph of the linear equation crosses the y-axis. The y-intercept is also the value of y when x = 0. The y-coordinate of the point (0, -3) is the y-intercept.  Hence, the y-intercept (b) = -3.

Given our slope, m = 4, and the y-intercept (b) = -3, the linear equation is:

y = 4x - 3

Answers

5 : 1/6 = 301 = 30. Is the answer

The quotient from the expression (−1/5) ÷ (−4/5), in the simplified fraction is 1/4.

We have,

To calculate the quotient of the expression (−1/5) ÷ (−4/5), you can follow these steps:

- Invert the second fraction (divisor): (-4/5) becomes (-5/4).

- Multiply the first fraction (dividend) by the inverted second fraction: (-1/5) * (-5/4).

- Simplify the result if possible.

(-1/5) * (-5/4)

= (1 * 5) / (5 * 4)

= 5 / 20

Both the numerator and denominator have a common factor of 5, which can be cancelled out:

5 / 20 = 1 / 4

Thus,

The quotient in the simplified fraction is 1/4.

Write the equation of the line with x-intercept of -4 and y-intercept of 2. Hint:With those intercepts, (-4,0) and (0,2) are points on the line.

1.) -4x + 2y = 8
2.) 4x – 2y = -8
3.) 2x + 4y = 8
4.) 2x – 4y = -8

Answers

Answer

2.) 4x - 2y = -8

The equation of the line having an x-intercept of -4 and y-intercept of 2 is 2x - 4y = -8 so, option 4 is correct.

What is line?

A simple line in Euclidean geometry. A line, according to Euclid, is the distance between two points and can stretch forever in either direction. While Euclid's initial definition is now regarded as a line segment, such an extension in both directions is now thought of as a line.

Given:

The lines with an x-intercept of -4 and y-intercept of 2,

The coordinates can be written as (-4,0) and (0,2),

Write the equation of the line as shown below,

y - 2 = (2 - 0) / (0 - (-4)) (x - 0)

y - 2 = 2 / 4 x

y - 2 = 1 / 2 x

2y - 4 = x

x - 2y = -4 or 2x - 4y = -8

Thus, the equation of the line is 2x - 4y = -8.
