Why might throwing caution to the wind be a bad thing? in the flight of icarus

Answers

Answer 1

Answer:

Therefore, it seems only human that when given the chance to fly, Icarus takes it and behaves as if life after flight will never equal that unique moment in the clouds. Therefore, Icarus throws caution literally to the wind and chooses that soaring moment to die happy, rather than to live long and die uncertainly.

The Presiding Member,

Delhi - India,

Post Office Box 1432,

Dear Sir,

LAST FIVE YEARS ACHIEVEMENTS AND PLANS OF THE FUTURE

I would like to express my views and opinions by telling you some achievements of my community over the last five years and the plans for the future.

To commence with, my community was the first outstanding community in my district. Yes, this is because, we were the most neatest community in that district. Urination, defecation and dumping of rubbish around was miscalculated in my community. My community contributed and then built a community toilet which was always scrubbed at the end of the day. We had bins all over the community and the rubbish dumped into the bins were always burnt. The people of my community made sure that each and every week, the bins were cleaned.

Moreover, we the people of my community also contributed to help build an orphanage for orphans in the community. This is because, other members of their families refused to take care of the children, while others treated them like savageous children. This treatment made them felt bad; others walked on the streets naked, begging for food or money while others slept on roads and are emptied stomach. This made some people feel bad and decided to build an orphanage, take them to school and provide all their needs for them. All these treatments made my community lively and energetic.

However, the people of my community decided to take some plans to prevent scarcity of social amenities in the community. These plans were to build a school, construct all the bad roads and provide a house for all widows in the community.

In fact, all these achievements and plans made my community lively to stay in. I would like to sum up the history of my community here. This is how all ends. Thank you very much.

Yours faithfully,

What motive is there for people to increase their humor habits? Cite evidence from the article, and include your own ideas, in your response

Answers

The main motive for people to increase their humor habits is precisely because humor allows people to ease their worries, and generate distractions that contribute to improving the feeling of well-being and quality of life of individuals.

Humor is a very subjective phenomenon. What one person finds hilarious, is bland, inappropriate or incomprehensible to another. Individual differences play an important role, such as differences in culture, age and education level, although no general line can be drawn here either.

"Off there to the right – somewhere – is a large island," said Whitney. "It's rather a mystery–"

"What island is it?" Rainsford asked.

"The old charts call it 'Ship-Trap Island,'" Whitney replied. "A suggestive name, isn't it? Sailors have a curious dread of the place. I don't know why. Some superstition–"

"Can't see it," remarked Rainsford, trying to peer through the dank tropical night that was palpable as it pressed its thick warm blackness in upon the yacht.

"You've good eyes," said Whitney, with a laugh, "and I've seen you pick off a moose moving in the brown fall bush at four hundred yards, but even you can't see four miles or so through a moonless Caribbean night."

I was angry with my friend:
I told my wrath, my wrath did end.
I was angry with my foe:
I told it not, my wrath did grow.

And I watered it in fears
Night and morning with my tears,
And I sunned it with smiles
And with soft deceitful wiles.

And it grew both day and night,
Till it bore an apple bright,
And my foe beheld it shine,
And he knew that it was mine,—

And into my garden stole
When the night had veiled the pole;
In the morning, glad, I see
My foe outstretched beneath the tree.

How do poverty and ignorance of parents hinder the growth of children prepare an article about the situation taking example from your sorroundings also suggest measures to overcome the proble

Answers

The parents themselves are uneducated and hence may not know the importance of education and nutrition.

A lack of nutritive food leads to many health issues, some of which can affect the limbs and the brain. As a result, the physical growth of children is stunted, and learning capability decreases. This causes the children to develop an inferiority complex and instead of aiming high, they become petty criminals.

There are many ways to solve this problem:

Spread awareness among the workers- All we need to do is speak to our domestic helpers regularly, and encourage them to educate their children. Make them understand the importance of education.

Support them- Support the domestic helpers in getting their children educated. Give them your old, unused stationery, old books, half-used notebooks and create interest in studies.

Channelise your charity- Instead of donating tons of money at places of worship (where you don't know what they will do with the money), use the same money to buy school items for the poor.

Share information- The government has many free health and academic campaigns. Since you are a digitally aware citizen, you can easily keep a track of free health campaigns and scholarships for the poor. You can convey this information to the helpers so that they can use it as an opportunity to improve their own lives.

Do remember, that we are all the same. The only difference is that we are luckily born in a family that is comparatively much better off economically than the poor, and so it is our duty to help the underprivileged in our own small ways.
